In a Development Plan led era it is imperative that those who have an interest in the use of land promote or safeguard their interests through the Development Plan process. We provide professional advice on both the local and strategic policy context regarding the future use and development of land. We also advise on the strategy to maximise the desired objective.

The optimum use of land, particularly in relation to larger development schemes, can often only be established through the preparation of a Master Plan. We can identify the physical and policy context in order to co-ordinate the provision of a design and land use framework where land has a longer term potential.

Where appropriate, we make representations to Local Plans, Local Development Frameworks and Development Plan documents. We also prepare and lodge objections to Local Plans where the strategy and/or site selection warrant such representations in relation to safeguarding or promoting the clients’ interests.

We appear and give evidence at Public Examinations and co-ordinate the input of other professionals where this is necessary.
